We’re Josh and Amy Dardis, and we’ve been helping trades and service businesses with their brands for the last 15 years.

We started our web agency in 2011 with no freaking clue about how to run a business.

We learned the way most entrepreneurs do, a lot of mistakes, trial by fire, and just figuring it out as we went.

But we were always looking at what everyone else was doing. And because of that we pivoted constantly.

The more we pivoted the more confused, distracted, and discouraged we became.

We redid our website hundreds of times.

Tried all kinds of different marketing strategies.

Wasted thousands of dollars in ad spend.

And we lost our confidence, direction, and purpose along the way.

With every client we worked with, we’d learn about their business and their brand, and find that they also struggled to articulate what made them unique, what set them apart. They knew what they did, but were less clear about how and why.

We became really good at telling other people’s stories and saw how clarity in their marketing generated more engagement and leads.

But no matter how good we got at that, we still struggled with our own.

Because it’s really hard to read the label from the inside of the bottle.

Too many questions, too many doubts, too many demons.

So we paid the price. Confusion and chaos ruled our business and we struggled to stand out and own our corner of the market.

We were stuck in a deep rut.

In 2019, Amy went to work for one of our clients, a gas and welding distributor. She oversaw the marketing, launched an ecommerce platform, helped implement EOS, and saw culture and hiring transform. She experienced first hand what clarity around brand identity does for a business.

It was a transformation from the inside out.

Because sales, marketing, hiring, and operations were built on a clear, authentic, aligned foundation.

It was identity first. Everything else stems from that.

It was a slap in the face and a wake up call.

The breakthrough we needed was realizing that in order to own our corner of the market we had to first own our story. We had to get really clear on who we were, how we helped, and what made us different.

Because let’s be honest, anyone can sell a website.

The answer was in our own wiring and experiences.

The answer was being more clear and more specific.

The answer was boldly owning who we are and how we operate.

Because it’s not about what we do, it’s about how and why we do it.
